Notes: Several Town of Oakville budget-related stories published in the Oakville Beaver contained misinformation regarding seniors transit fares. The articles, "Transit fares ready to rise in proposed Town budget" and "Town set to hike taxes in new 2017 budget" published Friday, Dec .9, 2016 edition, as well as "Property taxes going up with Town's 2017 budget", published Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 incorrectly quoted the cost of a group of 10 Oakville senior tickets.
