Mary was the devoted spouse of the late John Victor for 63 years, daughter of Joseph Bonnici and Jana Xrieha, sister of Teresa (deceased), Emanuel (deceased), Carmen Borg (John deceased), Josephine Schembri (Anthony), John (Lela), Joseph (deceased), and Paul (Mary), loving mother of Albert (Shelley), Joseph, Anthony (deceased), Mary Anne, John (Gabrielle), and Tracy (John). She was the much loved Nanna of Stacey, John, and Carrie; Christopher, Sarah, and Jenna; John David and Olivia; and Nathan, Luke, and Dylan, and great- grandmother to Ashton and Matteo; Aurora and Craig; Elliot and Logan; and Chloe, Oliver, and Hazel. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Mary and John immigrated to Canada from Malta in 1951 and built a beautiful life for their children. Nothing was more important to Mary than her family and her faith. She was a lover of gardening, spending much of the day outside when the weather was warm, enjoyed a good cup of tea, and was a very competitive word game player. We will never forget the lively parties she hosted with many family and friends which brought her, our father, and us much joy. We will remember Mary's hospitality, generosity, and unwavering faith that provided her great strength in challenging times. She has left us to join her parents, siblings and her beloved husband and son who have been waiting for her to beat them in a game of Scrabble and share some tea and pastizzi.
