Robertson, who has been living with ALS, a paralyzing neuromuscu- lar disease, for the past seven years (already outliving the two-to-five-year lifespan given to most ALS patients), will once again participate in the local Tee Off 4 ALS hosted at Indian Wells Tim Robertson Golf Course on Sept. 20. "I continue to participate in the Tee Off for ALS because I can," he said. "One of facts about ALS is that all patients progress through the disease at various rates. I've known patients who have passed away within months of diagnosis. Fortunately, I have pro- gressed slowly. I am able to attend events like the Tee Off and speak about my experience, hopefully raising awareness of the disease while I still can. By raising awareness and funds at events such as this we will one day find a cause and ultimately a cure."
