The students and staff raised more than $3,700. All of the money raised through the fund will be donated to Doctors Without Borders and UNICEF Canada. COINS FOR HAITI: Grade 2 students at Holy Family School filled a water bottle full of coins in just four days to help earthquake victims in Haiti. Two students donated their "life savings," which they were keeping for a family trip to Disney World. A Grade 1 student sold popcorn to raise money for the Haiti relief effort. MICHAEL IVANIN / SPECIAL TO THE BEAVER MICHAEL IVANIN / SPECIAL TO THE BEAVER BOXES FOR HAITI: Our Lady of Peace Grade 4 students with just some of the boxes of donated items that are bound for Haiti. Students collected more than 100 boxes of donated items such as as toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, clothing, bedding, toiletries, candles, flashlights, non-perishable food items, household items and soft toys for the earthquake victims of Haiti. The supplies were shipped to Halifax, Nova Scotia where they will be transported by boat to Haiti.
