3 · OAKVILLE BEAVER Wednesday, July 22, 2009 Survey checks Oakville's Vital Signs The Community Foundation of Oakville (CFO) is looking for residents to help check the Vital Signs of the community. The non-profit organization is embarking on its annual Vital Signs report, which is a report card of the quality of life in the community. "We want to identify the assets, as well as find out how to make the town better and what the priorities are," said Rusty Baillie, CEO of the CFO. Volunteers are being asked to fill out a survey, grading the community in 11 categories, including health and wellness, the gap between rich and poor, housing, work, arts and culture, getting started, belonging and leadership, learning, getting around, safety, and environment. Those filling out the forms will be asked to give aspects within each of those areas a grade between A and F. There are no requirements as to who can fill out the survey. Residents have until early August to fill out a survey at www.oakvillevitalsigns.ca. The results will be published in Oakville's Vital Signs 2009, released on Oct. 6.
