Minor atom Flyers win second tournament The Oakville minor atom red FSMT Flyers went undefeated at the recent London Atom Thunder House League Tournament, earning their second tournament gold of the hockey season. Jay Walden converted a pass from Ben Pace with a minute remaining in overtime to lift the Flyers to a 1-0 win over the Erindale Cyclones in the championship game. The win concluded a 4-0-1 showing at the tournament for Oakville. Earlier in the competition, the Flyers blanked Sudbury 8-0, tied Erindale 2-2, tripled up Waterloo 6-2 and defeated Sarnia 31. Flyers goalie Callum Challis recorded two shutouts at the tournament and was named the competition's most valuable player. Oakville's other tournament win this season came at the NobleKing Atom Challenge Cup Tournament, when the Flyers outscored their opposition 18-5. Other members of the team are Sachin Ahuja, Matthew Cestra, Matthew Corrente, Robbie Costa, Austin Fishwick, Thomas Gay, Sinead Kennedy, Luke Kuta, Jack Melber, Shayan Shirazi, Ryan Stevens, Braeden Webber and Ryan Wood.
