Dion Kedian, 31, and Lisa Magaro, 28, both of Oakville, and Derek Greber, 33, of Mississauga, are the G2-Northern Challenge team. This coming September, they hope to spend the month driving across Canada, heading north through the Yukon to Inuvik and then crossing the Northwest Territories completely off road -- an extremely difficult and long trek of almost 1,500 km, with no roads, no signs, and no outside assistance with the exception of what they will carry in their 4x4 vehicles. The team with Overland Expeditions, a non-profit group Kedian and Greber registered two years ago, are hoping to raise at least $20,000 for Sick Kids. The adventure is their dream. "We're trying to do something to push the limits," said Kedian. However, before any of it can happen -- their adventure or any charitable funds that may be generated by it -- they need sponsorship. They need SUVs, satellite telephones, global positioning systems, rooftop tents, gas money, even gas cans. They're serious about what they're doing as it has taken several years of planning. They're doing the legwork.
