April 1941, Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Air Force in the position of Navigator/Bomber. First attached to Coastal Command #221 stationed in Ireland and Iceland, then served in Malta in 1942. Later transferred to Vancouver Island to instruct Radar Navigation.
