The Oakville Historical Society is pleased to present this photo essay as a tribute to the 150th Anniversary of the Town of Oakville. The Society has an extensive archival collection covering various aspects of the history of the area now making up the Town of Oakville. The collection includes original documents, pictures, newspapers, maps, albums, ephemera, letters, diaries and both archival and reference books.

Particularly noteworthy are: A collection of over 4,000 photographs portraying the life of the community and many of its families since the mid-nineteenth century.
