Description:
Mary Barclay Balmer was a faithful member of Knox church during her lifetime. She taught in the church school, and was active in women's groups. Her father, John Barclay, was one of the original elders of this congregation in 1846. A merchant, he was also a former mayor, reeve and councillor of Oakville.
