Description:
A postcard of the Banff Hotel from S. McD. in North Aberdeen, Cape Breton, sent to Rev. R.B. Layton in Oakfield, Halifax Co., Nova Scotia. Banff Springs Hotel was opened 1 June 1888 by the Canadian Pacific Railway.
Inscriptions:
Reverse reads:
"Rec'd card. There was a time when N. Aberdeen could boast of its "real cheese" but alas. Rec'd your "message" by bearer. Sorry but I'm afraid I can't say thanks [sic]. Think of F.H.C. and all was said. It will do splendidly. Trust you will not be infected by that "dread disease" thru this card. Wishing you a joyous Easter.
