Dear Bronte Horticultural Society:

Our Society was very pleasantly surprised to receive such a generous cheque from you. The weather has been very dry here with farmers being 3 weeks ahead of schedule on the land - we have lovely fields of barley and wheat up - however we were afraid of not having rain, however we were blessed with two or three days of rain, and the flowering crabs are blooming.

I believe our area needed a boost of lovely green lawns and seeing the trees getting cut down or trimmed up.

It will not be very long till work can begin on outside planting and we will put our money to good use.

The world is certainly a better place when people care for others.

Yours in the name of Horticulture,

Martintown & District Horticultural Society

We will send you pictures later.

Sincerely - Eileen J. - Sec.
