A postcard sent to Miss Louise McLeod in Middle River, Victoria Co., Nova Scotia, mailed from Halifax. The Cape Roseway Lighthouse was established in 1788 on McNutt's Island in the mouth of Shelburne Harbour. It was the third lighthouse ever built in Canada.

Dear Louise,
Had a very pleasant trip today. Unexpectedly met Mr [illegible] at Cleveland, met Mr. L from N. Glasgow & Oakfield. He was cheered by getting recent news from M.R-said he had not heard since -Tuesday-
