FISCHER, Ine Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2014 in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Walter. Loving sister of Agnes Schnittker of Oakville, and Paula Tebbe of Germany. Proud and devoted aunt of Maria (Walter Schneider), Wolf Schnittker (Tamara Kraszewski), Joseph Schnittker (Karen), Beate Schnittker (Andrew Pentney), and their families. She is survived by her step-daughter Doris Stangret (nee Fischer), and by step-son Peter Fischer. Ine immigrated to Canada in 1959 to begin a new life and became a secondary caregiver to her widowed sister`s children. She was a hardworking, enterprising business person, who worked diligently beside her husband in a successful upholstery business based in Oakville, Ontario. Upon retirement, Ine and Walter enjoyed more than a decade of wonderful winters in Bradenton, Florida. Also while in Oakville, Ine and her husband were very active in the German and church communities. Her quiet pleasures included needlepoint, crocheting and enjoying family and friends. Family and friends may visit at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre , 3164 Ninth Line (Dundas/403) Oakville, on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 6 to 9 p.m. A celebration of life Mass will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at St. Dominic Parish, 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville at 11 a.m. Interment Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens followed by a light reception in the Glen Oaks Lounge. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to the Alzheimer's Society or to the Oakville Hospital Foundation. Online condolences and memories may be shared through www.glenoaks.ca.
