KANALEY, JAMES Edward (Bud) Passed away peacefully in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 84 on June 28, 2013. Born in Rochester, New York Bud was well known in Irondequoit for his athletic skills. Bud always said his claim to fame was when he signed on as a pitcher for the Chicago White Sox in 1949 out of high school. Bud's real career was with Sealand Shipping and took him to Oakville, ON in 1969 and then to New York City in 1977 for 17 years before retiring in Pinehurst, NC. He was an avid golfer who had 3 hole-in-ones. He was loved dearly and is survived by Geri (wife of 61 years) and daughter Karen Marlatt of Oakville, son Jim (Janice) of Utah, daughter Jill of Missouri, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. His son Michael predeceased him in 2010. A funeral service will take place at St. Margaret Marys Church, Rochester, NY on Wednesday July 3, 2013 at 10 a.m.
