TRUMAN, Janet Elizabeth (nee Higgins) Passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, on Monday, June 24, 2013 at the age of 63. Jan Truman, born in Wrexham, Wales, beloved wife of John Truman, and dear mother of Ryan. Jan will be sadly missed by her brother Kevin Higgins, her extended family and many friends in Canada, the UK and elsewhere around the world. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME , 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday from 6-9 p.m., where a Service of Remembrance will take place on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Oakville Hospital Foundation or the Burlington Welsh Male Chorus would be appreciated by the family. www.smithsfh.com.
