MURDOCH, Etta With love and sadness we announce the passing of a lovely woman and extraordinary mum, wife and friend on Sunday April 7, 2013 in her 78th year after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband Roy Murdoch, former retiree of Ford and her caring mother Robina Anderson, formerly of the Oakville Hospital. Mother of Evelyn, Rona (Ken), Mamie and John. Granny to Daryl, Fraser, Jaclyn, Derek and Luke. An immigrant from Scotland to Oakville in 1963, Mum wanted a better life for her family. Here she remained for 50 years. Mum ran a very successful dressmaking shop in Oakville in the 70's called Etta's Place on Reynolds Street. She was actively involved in the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of Oakville's White Heather Club and a dedicated loving manager and soccer fan. She will always be remembered for her dedication to her children's favourite sport. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville (1 block east of Kerr St., 905-844-2600) on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Kopriva Chapel at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2013.
