SCHELFHAUT, Mary Formerly of Mt. Brydges, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, in her 96th year on Sunday December 18, at Post Inn Village in Oakville where she resided for the past six years. Mary was predeceased by her devoted husband George (1983) and her loving daughter RoseMarie (1990), as well as by four sisters and a brother. Mary is lovingly remembered by her son Ron and his wife Irene of Oakville, and son-inlaw Louis Seys of Mt. Brydges. Always a source of immense pride and joy for Mary were her four grandchildren, Debbie Deacon (Ron) of Glencoe, Tammy Johnstone (Darryl) of Mt. Brydges, Michael Schelfhaut (Helen) of Oakville and Darryl Schelfhaut (Jennifer) of Oakville, and her six greatgrandchildren, Hayley, Sarah, Adam, Tyler, Hannah and Ashley. A very sincere thank you to all the staff at the Post Inn Village, especially those on the 4th floor Birch Wing, for the outstanding care and affection provided to Mary for the past six years. Friends may call at the ELLIOTT-MADILL FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Brydges on Wednesday, December 21st from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. funeral mass to be celebrated on Thursday, December 22nd from Sacred Heart Church, Delaware, commencing at 11:00 am. interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Mt. Brydges. donations in memory of Mary to the Alzheimer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association gratefully appreciated.
