Detailed report of circumstances surrounding the death of this solider, (If "Died of Wounds" please report how wounds were received.

"Returning from an inspection of trench mortar positions on the Serre front (north of the Ancre)accompanied by Lieut. Gordon, W.H., Lieut. Bell, C.H., Captain W.S. Tuck and the two above mentioned Officers were struck by high explosive shell 300 paces from their billet. Capt. Tuck was carried from the dressing station unconscious and died in a few minutes. First aid was promptly rendered and everything possible done by Officer of R.A.M.C. fortunately at hand.

Captain Tuck's body was interred at the military cemetery at Courcelles; Capt. Ross (Chaplain 2nd C.D.A.C.)officiating. Brother Officers and men of his Battery were present.
