Photo taken just prior to a test flight at 432 (Leaside) Royal Canadian Air Force Squadron 6 Group Bomber Command at East Moor, Yorkshire, England in March, 1944. Also shown are (right to left) Sargeant Harry Oakeby (RAF), Flight Engineer; Flight Sargeant Al Zacharuk, Bomber Aimer; Technical Sargeant Leo Butkewitz (USAAF). John Cooper was made Lieutenant Colonel at the end of the war. He has lived in Oakville since 1967.
